This page is organized into 5 sections to help you quickly find the resources you need. Click on any section below to jump directly to that part of the page.
🎨 Graphic Design and Content Creation
Canva: We started with the free version to create social media posts for our Google Business profile and other platforms. Great for still image and photo-based content.
Google Sheets: Perfect for staying organized—track post performance, manage documents, or even plan out a content calendar.
Google Slides: Ideal for creating presentations, patient documents, or flyers. Think of it as an alternative to Canva for more structured content.
🎥 Video Editing Tools
Descript: This AI-assisted video editing tool lets you edit videos as easily as editing text. The free version offers limited features, but plans start at $12/month for advanced capabilities. Start here.
Final Cut Pro: For advanced video editing (especially for Apple users). We often begin edits in Descript and fine-tune them in Final Cut Pro for more control and precision.
Captions App: Another AI video editing tool, great for on-the-go use. While Descript and Final Cut Pro are better suited for desktops, this app is perfect for mobile editing.
📝 Writing and Transcription
ChatGPT: Our go-to tool for grammar editing, idea generation, and creating platform-optimized copy from video transcripts. The possibilities are endless!
Rev.com: Prefer speaking over typing? This transcription service lets you dictate blogs, newsletters, or emails, saving time and effort.
Voice Memo App (iPhone): For iPhone 12 and later, this app transcribes speech to text from audio recordings. A potential alternative to Rev.com that we’re currently testing.
🤳Equipment for Content Creation
iPhone: As we’ve learned from a famous YouTuber, “The best camera is the one you use.” While we have a Canon EOS M50, we often use our iPhone or laptop camera for convenience and accessibility.
Bluetooth Lavalier Microphone: While smartphone mics are improving, this mic provides higher-quality audio for presentations and videos. Get it here.
Extendable Tripod: Essential for holding your phone when recording content or presentations. Portable and perfect for capturing inspiration on the go! Get it here.
✉️ Email Marketing & Newsletters
Squarespace – Our current choice since it seamlessly integrates with our website. It’s simple and convenient, though it has fewer features compared to dedicated email platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
Beehiiv – A growing platform designed for creators and businesses focused on newsletters and audience growth.
Mailchimp – One of the most popular email marketing tools, offering automation, templates, and audience segmentation to help personalize your messaging.
Constant Contact– A solid choice with drag-and-drop design tools, automation, and analytics, making it easy to create and track your email campaigns.
